Having opened its doors in 2002, Hollard Seguros has become a prominent force in the insurance industry in Mozambique. As well as contributing significantly to the growth and awareness of the insurance sector over the last 20 years, Hollard has been heavily involved in making a real difference to the citizens of Mozambique through its involvement with several organisations and sponsorships. This is aligned with its organizational purpose of creating better futures for all.

To mark its 20th anniversary, Hollard has planned a spectacular four-day event at the Franco Cultural Centre, in the very heart of Maputo, running from 9 June to 12 June 2022. Over the four days, guests will get to experience Hollard’s deep connection with the arts and with the development of art in Mozambique.

On the 9th of June, VIP guests will be entertained by Xiquitsi, a Hollard-supported initiative which  gives children and young people the opportunity to develop their love for classical music through skills development and group music practice. Xiquitsi has been a Kulungwana project since 2005 and guests at the event will get to experience a classical music concert and a tour of the Kulungwana(?) art exhibition, followed by cocktails and dinner.

Activities on the 10th of June are focused around Hollard’s ongoing commitment to corporate social investment and building better futures for the youth of Mozambique. This special day is held in collaboration with Kulungwana, a proud partner of Hollard, and comprises an educational concert and an arts and crafts workshop for 45 children from local public schools.

Saturday, June 11, brings together and celebrates the contribution made by Hollardites, Hollard’s passionate employees. Hollardites will be entertained in the morning by the Xiquitsi Choir, followed by a fun teambuilding event – ResilentME Monopolio game customized for insurance sector. After an exceptional afternoon of classical music from the Xiquitsi Orchestra Hollardites will then get to enjoy some well-deserved fun time with a celebratory function in the evening.

The 20-year celebrations close out on June 12 with a packed open day, which all Mozambicans are invited to attend. A choir class for children and youngsters to explore the world of choir singing, is followed by a children’s orchestra lesson. As well as a lesson on maintaining and taking care of orchestral instruments, children will have the opportunity to learn about percussion later in the day and to share their stories with other students, Hollardites and the team from Kulungwana. The day will wrap up with an inspiring orchestra class.

Sunday is a free event open to Hollardites, customers, the general public and artists. Gates open at 9am – visit https://tinyurl.com/3m3zbda4 to find out more and secure your place.
